UIC offers two primary Shuttle routes to facilitate easy commute around the campus area. These are the Intercampus and Taylor Street routes. These shuttle services are free for your use. Apart from these two shuttle routes, UIC also offers the Train station route, which you may ride by paying a fare.

Look under "Maps and Bus Stops" at Inter-Campus Bus Service (aka Shuttle Service) for the bus route.

The Student Services Building (SSB), located on the intersection of Racine and Harrison houses offices that students would require during their stay at UIC, including Office of Admissions and Records, Student Employment, Student Legal Services and the most sought after for international students, the Office of International Services.

Students are eligible to do internships as a part of Curricular Practical Training (CPT). International students are also offered up to 12 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT). Information about these important aspects can be found at the Office of International Services.

Health Insurance is an important aspect that needs to be taken care of by every student. CampusCare provides an insurance program that is convinent and hassel free. You can read more about it for details.
