"Discover Your Present Through Your Past" 

The PRSA was established in 1992 to provide Latino students with a place and opportunity to come and make new friends. Along the way, students learn something about the Puerto Rican culture, experience new things, visit other cities and actively participate in an organization that helps to make a difference for themselves and their community. 
 

The mission of the Puerto Rican Student Association is to provide an atmosphere where Puerto Ricans and other Latinos can come together and feel part of a community at the university level. The PRSA will also implement Puerto Rican influence into the more broader UIC community both on and off campus by working with and conducting events in the cultural, social, political and educational spectrums.
