Palabra: Open to everyone. To recognize and encourage the contributions
of graduate students in the areas of linguistics, literature, criticism,
creative writing and art.

Psi Lambda Inc.: To serve the outside campus and community. To
provide and advocate for the needs and concerns of the Latino(a) student.

Arquitectos: To maintain and increase
enrollment of Latinos in arquitectual programs, as well as provide academic
assistance and guidance along with mentorship to current Latino arquitecture
students.

Confederation of Latin American Students (CLAS):
Political organization that attacks current political issues and reaches
out to the community.

Gamma
Phi Omega: The women of Gamma Phi Omega are here to promote cultural
awareness, academic excellence, community service and sisterhood on campus
as well as within the community of Chicago.

Health
Oriented Latino Association (HOLA): To assist Latino and
non-Latino students interested in the process of applying professional
schools, such as medical, nursing, pharmacy, public health, etc. and create
awareness in the Latino community.

La Raza Medical
Student Association (La RAMA): A medical student association involved
in issues dealing with Latino health issues.

Latin
American Law Society (LALS): To inform interested students of the
advantage of a law affiliated career and to assist in the preparation,
application, and enrollment to law school.

American Student Communication Organization (LASCO): To establish
networks and an academic supportive foundation for all Latin American students
interested in communications, journalism, and english, both internally
and externally within their professional environments.

Association of Business Students (LABS): To enhance the classroom
education of Latino business students by providing worthwhile extracurricular
activities which complement the classroom education.

Education Empowerment Resources (LEER): To provide help and support
for all members in the field of education, to tutor and mentor
high school and grammar school students.

Mexican
Students of Aztlan (MeSA): To represent the Mexican community at
UIC and investigate all policies and procedures affecting Mexican students/community
welfare as well as initiate formal recommendations for change. We promote
unity, creativity, and understanding of the mexican community.

Midwest
Association of Hispanic Accountants (MAHA): To develop relations
with the business sector that will help students excel in their respective
career, to promote the economic interest and well being of members within
the profession and to encourage and promote professional development, camaraderie,
and fellowship among its members.

Puerto
Rican Student Association (PRSA): To implement Puerto Rican influence
into a broader UIC community both on and off campus by working with and
conducting events in the cultural, social, political and educational spectrums.

Sigma Lambda Beta
Inc.: To undertake, promote, and carry out civic, educational,
social, and cultural functions that will enhance the human rights and welfare
of the Latino population.

Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority: Latina-oriented, academic, cultural,
and social organization committed to the empowerment of women and to promoting
our rich and diverse culture.

Sociedad de Organizaciones
Latinas: The umbrella organization for all the Latino organizations
at UIC.

Society of Hispanic
Professional Engineers (SHPE): To provide Latino students seeking
science and engineering careers with academic and professional support
through various activities.

Tau Phi Sigma: To promote seville to the community, to promote higher
education, and to promote social and cultural awareness.
