SIGMA ALPHA MU

In Sigma Alpha Mu’s case, rush is a period of time where you can partake in social and brotherhood events to see if you feel that Sigma Alpha Mu is the right choice for you. It also gives the brothers in the fraternity a chance to get to know you better and see your qualities. During rush, there are tons of social events where a new student can meet the brothers of the fraternity and plenty of other students to get a feel for college life.  As for our specific rush, we host BBQs, dinners, movie nights, mixers with sororities, and other open events.

There are many expectations that come into play in being a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu. The utmost respect should be given to anyone affiliated with the fraternity. In return, respect will be given back. Moreover, time, patience, and dedication are necessary in becoming a brother. In addition, we value academia and require new members as well as brothers to maintain a 2.5 GPA (In order to play hard, we need to work harder). Along with academics, giving back to the community is necessary in being a brother. Sigma Alpha Mu is known for doing philanthropy and community service. We also expect them to be an outgoing member of our fraternity, attending and participating in all events, be it philanthropic, social, or athletic.
