Why Sigma Alpha Mu?

Sigma Alpha Mu is a social fraternity dedicated to scholastics, athletics, and community service. Our social events involve mixers with local and national sororities in the Chicago land area. This includes sororities from UIC, DePaul, Loyola, and Northwestern. We also have Brotherhood events at least three times a month, which tend to include visiting our chapters at NIU, ISU, U of I, going to nightclubs around Chicago, sporting events, going paintballing, holiday parties, and much more. We are the top athletic fraternity in hockey, and swimming and have college athletes as members of our Fraternity and also many actives in the armed forces, one of which is currently in Iraq (WE LOVE YOU BENTON!). Currently, we are sponsored by Rockstar Energy drink and you can find it at most all of our events. We also donate money and time to Community Service, such as Step up for Kids and various fundraisers. Our members range in a diverse choice of majors, such as accounting, architecture, engineering, fianance, and many more. Educational help is easily accessible within the fraternity and if it can not be found there are many willing to help you find it outside the fraternity. Not only is Sigma Alpha Mu a necessity for you social life at UIC but also for your college career.
