A Letter from KAUSE's President

Welcome to KAUSE. My name is Dave Shin and I am the co-founder and President of the best organization at UIC. I am an organizer and an activist. This is one of the proudest titles I have had the privilege to bear and I hope I will always have the opportunity to live up to it.

Although KAUSE's focus is on Korean Americans, we are not ethnocentric in any capacity. Our mission is to be an advocate for Korean Americans by offering a voice through activism, programming, outreach, and community service.

KAUSE is an organization that encourages personal initiative and leadership development among its board members. But most importantly, this organization is about you and what we could do for you I would like to welcome everyone and anyone to join and learn more about the issues that affect us all as Korean Americans and Americans as a whole. In the meantime, we're more than happy to share with you our culture, our heart, our histories, and our dreams.

We are united in the belief that things can be better for all people who seek it. KAUSE will always work towards that end.

Have fun on this site. I hope it's a useful tool for you to utilize. We hope to see you soon because whether you're a member of KAUSE, there's one thing that is certain: we're all in this together.
