1. Jardine Water Purification Plant Tour
Come tour the world's largest water treatment plant! The Jardine Water Purification Plant draws raw water from two water cribs far offshore in Lake Michigan and has the capacity to send 1.4 billion gallons of water per day to consumers. After the tour, we can do lunch at the Columbia Yacht Club!

3.UIC AiChE Elections
Elections will be held in the second week of april for AiChE officer positions.Those interested to work for the AiChE are invited to attend the meeting.
4.Volunteers Needed for 2010 AIChE Regional Conference
The 2010 Midwest Regional Conference will be held in Chicago and AIChE-Chicago is in need of lots of volunteers. Below are short descriptions of some activities that need the most help (full descriptions below). Please Jessica or Don Chmielewski know if you would like to get involved. Tentative date for the Conference is Sept 27-28th.
Hospitality - Requires the most help of all. Volunteers would help obtain and distribute amentities to the conference attendees and speakers.
High School Outreach - AIChE has created a program to get students excited about engineering. In the past, the program included a trivia competition, panel discussion and keynotes by a notable speakers. Volunteers would help with on-site logistics and/or program support before and during the conference.
Finance - Volunteers would support chair with determining program costs, registration fees, etc.
Fundraising - Vounteers would help solicite company sponsorships for the conference.
YPAB ( Young Professionals Advisory Board ) will likely be holding resume and interview workshops which will also need YP volunteers.

It’s a great opportunity to get your hands on research experience and apply chemical engineering knowledge to real model. If your interested and you wish to see yourself working with the UIC team then contact Nicole Harrison ASAP!)
