APhA Meeting, Synopsis 2/16/2010
Kerrilyn Rodriquez led a discussion and presentation detailing her humanitarian efforts in leading a Peru trip for pharmacy students. By working with government organizations of Peru, Kerrilyn and her team offer medical clinics to many of the residents of different areas of Peru. This opportunity is a wonderful learning and personal experience that students can take advantage of over their summer breaks. It allows you to take all the information you have learned thus far in school, apply it, and learn from it - a very hands on experience. ShopKo was generous enough to sponsor the event and provided information about their company. For additional info about careers with ShopKo visit shopko.com. For more info about the Peru trip, contact the UIC VP of IPSF, Stacy Federman at sfeder2@uic.edu.
