CRS -- Illinois Student Chapter
The 1st CRS-Illinois Student Chapter Symposium was organized
to foster and enhance the exchange of ideas amongst students, and
scientists alike, who are interested in the broad area of controlled
drug release and related fields. Our society's main event this year,
a One Day Symposium, will provide a more in-depth knowledge
of controlled release research and promote networking in
research between academia and industry. The symposium will
be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 and the topic for the
symposium is "Recent Advances in Parenteral Drug Delivery".
We are very pleased to announce that our Keynote speaker this year is Dr. Theodore Roseman, retired Vice-President of Global R&D Medication Delivery at Baxter Healthcare and former CRS president. To further showcase research in parenteral drug delivery, our other invited and distinguished speakers are Dr. Barrett Rabinow and Dr. Joseph Wong from Baxter Healthcare, Dr. William Mieler from University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Lonnie Shea from Northwestern University and Dr. Michael Kaminski of Argonne National Laboratory.
A poster session will be held at which all attendees are invited to share their research. Awards will be given for the best posters at the symposium. Submit your abstract now!!
Space is limited and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register early to assure your seat! If you would like to become a member of our organization feel free to download our membership form or purchase your membership along with registration for the symposium.
We look forward to seeing you on May 29th!
Sincerely,
Misuk Bae,
