First General Body Meeting
September 15, 2009
Our faculty advisor, Dr. David Peace, will be speaking
at the Hem/Onc Interest Group's first general body
meeting on Tuesday, September 15th. The meeting will be
from 12:30-1:20 in CMW 423. Lunch will be served. Dr.
Peace will be talking about careers in the hem/onc
specialty.
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

The Hem/Onc Interest Group and AMWA have created a UIC
College of Medicine team for the Susan G. Komen Race
for the Cure on September 26, 2009. You can register
with our team now by going HERE. Click "I Agree" and then
click "Join a Team" and then select the "UIC
College of Medicine" team. You can register for
the walk, 5k run or 10k run. Registration is $37
but we'll be holding fundraising events to try and
reimburse everybody and raise money for the race
itself. Sign up now because registration ends
Monday, September 7.

to its completion by Wednesday August 26, 2009 by
