Integrative
Medicine Interest Group
Official
Website
Mission: The purpose
of the Integrative Medicine Interest Group is to provide a forum for
undergraduate medical students to learn about, explore issues in, evaluate
efficacy of, and potentially learn to integrate into our own practice of the
art and science of medicine the many healthcare alternatives available in
today’s society.
Our goals: To open minds and increase understanding among the University Medical Community, and to show that an integrative approach to medicine provides holistic healthcare tailored to an individual patient's needs. This is the wave of the future, so DO NOT miss out! Come share your ideas at our events. Some events planned for the academic year include interactive discussions in acupuncture, Ayervedic Medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, healing touch, running a integrative medical practice and much more. Stay tuned to your email for upcoming events. Contact me, Cheryl Strzoda, at cstrzo1@uic.edu with questions/comments.
