About Us

The Latino Association of Business Students (LABS) is a pre-professional student organization established within the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). The organization's roots go back to the early 1980's and then were re-established in the early 1990's. Today, LABS is one of the most respected student organizations within UIC and the College of Business.

Even though the words "Latino" and "Business" are part of our name, we are completely open to students of all races and majors.

In 2005 we affiliated with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA). This gives us national support and recognition, and what is even better - LABS members become ALPFA members as well.
You get the best of both worlds! -Javier S. Atristain (LABS-ALPFA President).
