Born and raised in Chicago, Sandy is pursuing a degree in Finance and Management at UIC. She is expecting to graduate in December of 2007. LABS is helping her develop her leadership skills; as well as, giving her opportunities to network with other students and professionals.

As a result of being involved with LABS Sandy has received an internship with HACE, the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, for their High School and College Outreach Program and a Management internship for Walgreen's.
 

Born and raised in Chicago, IL Diana Medina is a fourth year student pursuing a dual Bachelors of Science degree in Management & Marketing. She is a recipient of the SBC Scholars Program scholarship, President's Award scholarship, and the Eleanor Daley Scholars scholarship. Diana is also a second year INROADS intern, having interned at Exelon Business Services Company in the Supply Project and Programs Management Office and at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO Group Audit department. She is also a member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority and serves as the 2006-2007 Scholarship Chair.

Georgia, a 3rd year student, was born in Chicago IL but was raised in Greece since age 1. At the age of 17 she moved back to Chicago to pursue her education. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing with a concentration in International Business. This summer she completed an internship with Target Corporation as an executive manager in training. She is currently working as an HR manager for Target Corporation concentrating on doing all the staffing, hiring, and training for the South Loop store.
 

Born in Michoacan, Mexico Jennifer came to Chicago when she was four years old. She is currently a junior and pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. She is also a student member of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting and a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. She is currently working at a dealership as a receptionist.

Born in Durango, Mexico Brenda came to Chicago when she was five years old. She is currently a junior pursuing a double major in Management and Finance. She expects to graduate in May 2008. This past summer, Brenda completed a Retail Management Internship with Walgreens. She is currently working with Walgreens as an Assistant Manager.

Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, Illinois, Vincent is a first generation college student pursuing an undergrad degree in Marketing and Finance. He hopes to one day work for a marketing consulting company where he can create breakthroughs in the marketing industry.

Born and raised in Lima, Peru. She moved to the U.S. in 2001. Valeria is currently a senior pursuing a double major in Management and Marketing. She is very involved in school and extra curricular activities. She is currently working for Passage Events, a marketing company, in the promotion & marketing department.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL. Janet Medina is a second year student pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Management. Janet is one of the winners of the Wal-Mart Emerging Scholars scholarship. She is also a member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. and serves as treasurer.

Born in Hinsdale, IL, Bonnie is a third year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She is a recipient of the President's Award Scholarship and interned in the Community Lending Department of MidAmerica Bank in the summer of 2005. She is looking forward to gaining experience through her position in LABS, so that she can give back to the Latino Community.

Born in the third largest city of Mexico, Guadalajara, Jalisco. Immigrated to the United States in 1998 at the age of 17 to live in the city of Elgin, IL. A year later after graduating from Elgin High School, went on to take a 3 year military career with the U.S. Army. Currently a student at the college of business at the University of Illinois at Chicago, persuing a dual major on Marketing and Finance.

Born in Karlovo, Bulgaria, Tzviatko came to the U.S. with his family in April 2000. Tzviatko is currently a senior in the College of Business and is pursuing a major in Finance and a minor in Computer Science. Tzviatko is four-time recipient of Chicago Engineers' Foundation Scholarship, and is a member of the Honors College, as well as Phi Eta Sigma and Golden Key Honor Societies. In the summer of 2005, Tzviatko completed an internship with Allstate, working in their Financial Technology department. This past summer he was an intern at State Farm Bank, working with their Customer Internet Applications team.
 

Born in Guanajuato, Mexico and has lived in the US since 1962.  Abel grew up in the Pilsen and Little Village Neighborhoods.  Served in the armed forces as a member of U. S. Army with Bravo Company, 1^st Battalion, 502 Infantry, 101^st  Airborne Division. Earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from Roosevelt University and MBA from University of Illinois in Chicago.  Took advantage of an early retirement offer from Southwestern Bell Communications to pursue a career in education at UIC.

Alfredo Estrada is a recent addition to the LABS e-board and serves as a staff advisor for the organization. He graduated from the College of Business at UIC and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. He currently is a recruitment and admissions counselor for the Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) program at UIC. He is a huge Chicago White Sox fan and in his spare time he enjoys hanging out with friends and going to concerts.
