LASCO - Latin American Student Communication Organization

LASCO
Latin American Student Communication
Organization
Students exploring the Latino world through
Communication
Our Mission:
The purpose of the Latin American Student Communication Organization
(LASCO) is to establish networks and an academic supportive foundation for
all Latin American students in Communication, Journalism (radio,
television, print media, cyber-media), and English, both internally and
externally within their professional environments.
Through visits to news organizations (TV, newspaper, and radio), guest
speakers, media conferences, and information regarding internships,
students will get a better understanding of their profession. LASCO's
commitment is to help provide a more positive image of Latinos and
Latinas in the media. The Latino voice must be heard, by working
together with LASCO we can help that voice get heard. LASCO wil not
only relate to Latino issues, but also encompass issues concerning
undergraduate students of all ethnicities.
