23rd: Unity Fest and The Taste of UIC - 11am to 2pm
26th: High School and College Student Development Program and Recruitment Fair at UIC - CCC 2nd Floor. Registration 9:30 - 10:45 am. Program Activities 11:00am - 6:00pm. Great for students interested in health profession schools. There will be seminars, workshops, lunch, and a recruitment fair. FREE!!!
30th: Graduate Admissions Seminar 6-8pm. Contact Office of Career Services in SSB.
OCTOBER

1st: Diversity '98 Job Fair at UIC Pavilion
7th: Students from Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health schools as well as representatives will visit.
15th: Student National Medical Association meeting; Guest Speaker discussing "Physicians in New Millennium."
17th: Family Weekend's Kiddie Carnival 12pm-4pm
23rd - 25th: SNMA Region II Conference: "The Physician of Color and the Community" at Double Tree Hotel, 1616 Dodge St. Dr. Ben Carson (keynote speaker) will have Pre-Med Forum (Workshops, practice MCAT, and much more). FREE - Banquet $35 - Official Membership $15.
NOVEMBER

7th: MCAT & CPA Exam Test Drive 10am - 1pm; Career Services
16th: MAPS Bake Sale; 9am - 3pm
30th: MAPS Bake Sale; 9am - 3pm
