Make a presentation to local area high school science classes on the topic of "Engineering - College and Career"
Technology is changing rapidly, and engineers are at the center of it. However, it is not surprising that most people are unaware of what engineering is like in general and at UIC in particular. This program is aimed at helping students in our local communities understand more about engineering in this time of rapid changes.
This objective of this program is for UIC engineering students and alumni to communicate with students at high schools on the subject of what it is like to be in the early stages of a career in engineering. The approach is for UIC students and alumni to make presentations to classes (usually physics) at the high schools.
