HISTORY |

| SACNAS
was established in 1973. It has its headquarters in Santa Cruz,
California and has rapidly grown to be an organization composed
of science faculty and administrators, researchers from federal
and industry sectors, K-12 educators and administrators, undergrad
and graduate students. It is a diverse society with vested interest
in promoting opportunities in advanced science education for Chicano/Latino,
Native American, and other underrepresented minority students. |
