HOLI - THE FESTIVAL OF COLORS
***************************************************************************
SAMSA (South Asian Medical Students Association)
proudly presents
HOLI CELEBRATION 2006
WHAT:
Historically, this festival was held to celebrate good harvests and
fertility of the land in the Spring. It is also held as a symbolic
commemmoration of a Hindu legend.
Today, HOLI is an excuse for individuals to set their differences
aside
and let loose for a day of fun where everyone chases everyone else
around,
throwing brightly colored powder and water over each other!
WHEN: 1:30 PM on Monday, April 10th, 2006 (NOT this Friday!)
WHERE: Arthington Plaza
(WEST of Wolcott, across the street from UIC COM; lawn-area right in
front
of the Fitness Center)
WORD OF ADVICE: Be sure to wear OLD CLOTHES (t-shirts, jeans,
sweats, etc)
because you will get messy (however, the colors will not stain)!!!
***************************************************************************
Don't miss this INCREDIBLE (and FREE) event!!!
