Why should you join the Society of Women Engineers at UIC? SWE is an organization dedicated to helping women engineers succeed. While still in school, they can help you network and develop the necessary skills to obtain the job you have always wanted. In the workplace you have the opportunity to gain the skills necessary for professional advancement and balancing work and home-life.
How to Become a MEMBER of SWE: Obtain a SWE membership application form: 1) At a SWE general Meeting 2) SEO 110 (The SWE office) during office hours 3) Email the VP of Membership or a co-president to obtain the application form 4) Sign up at swe.org *There is a $20 membership fee to cover your membership dues. This fee helps fund the National organization for benefits that include national SWE conventions, job fairs, and informational meetings. Also, members receive a free subscription to the SWE magazine published bi-monthly. Make checks payable to: The Society of Women Engineers
