Aspire

To spark innovation and expand our diversity, we share the excitement of engineering with girls in grades K-12 and young women who are about to embark on this life changing journey.

slide2

Advance

Providing our members with the necessary tools to succeed academically and professionally is our main priority but watching them grow and become the best engineers that they can be will be a mission accomplished.

slide3

Achieve

Women engineers are innovators and have demonstrated time and again that they are up to the challenge of engineering. Women continue to accomplish more each day and through SWE we will encourage each other along the way.

For the month: Oct 2011

My name is Nadya Fogarty and I am a junior in Industrial Engineering. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of SWE here at UIC and meet many wonderful ladies at a variety of SWE events. I was born and raised in Bulgaria, and then came to USA when I was 21. My first two years in the US were spent in Vail, CO where I met my wonderful husband. Then we moved to beautiful Hawaii for another two years and finally to Chicago. My passions are wine, fine food and travel. Ultimately I want to visit at least 100 countries before I die…I have only been to 20, so I have a long way to go!
