NLVS Membership Requirements
In order to become a member of New Life Volunteering Society (NLVS), you must turn in a completed membership application along with the application fee. The required fee for a returning NLVS member is $3 while the fee for a new member is $5. No persons who have not turned in their membership application and fee will be permitted to attend any NLVS volunteering events. In addition, you must complete 3 volunteering events, 1 fundraising event, and attend all mandatory general body meetings within a given semester. If you sign-up for any activity, whether it is volunteering or fundraising, you MUST attend that event. If you are no longer able to attend an event that you signed-up for, you must notify a board member at least 2 days before the scheduled activity. If you miss two events without prior notification you will lose your NLVS membership and your membership fee will not be returned to you. The benefits of the membership are that members will be provided with transportation to events and that there will be discounts provided for any NLVS conferences/retreats and several other events/items that have a cost during the year. |
