Outreach

The Student Alumni League of UIC is seeking to develop a connection between the students of the University and the community. In the face of a rapidly changing society, we feel that it is important to be aware of community issues. By establishing a relationship between the University students and the community, the students can be conscious about the current issues that concern the community, and the community can draw on the students as resources in helping to resolve problem areas. Moreover, the community can benefit from the fact that graduated students will have developed an interest in the community and may prove to be a valuable resources in future endeavors.

Therefore, the Student Alumni League wants to establish a relationship of active participation in joint SAL-community programs. The purpose is to facilitate an ongoing connection that draws on reciprocal resources to help community service organizations. These mutual programs will help promote a continued awareness among today's students and tomorrow's leaders.
