History... Tau Phi Sigma was founded on November 11, 1992. On this day, thirteen students gathered for the first time with the intention of establishing a new fraternity at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. These men were looking for an organization that would fulfill their interest in promoting higher education, serving the community, promoting social activities, and establishing a true brotherhood with each other.
