I am currently working with Dr. Benjamin Hankin on understanding cognitive vulnerability in the development and course of depression in children and adolescents.  I am interested in studying how cognitive and interpersonal factors interact, and specifically, how and why social support acts as a buffer for some people but not for others.  I am also interested in examining different types of social support and how these relate to domain-specific vulnerabilities.  Finally, I would like to explore how early childhood experiences affect social interactions and coping styles.
