James Bond 007 Version 2 (1997)

James Bond 007 Version 2 is a remake of the original James Bond 007 I has made earlier that year. The open gunbarrel sequence makes use of different layers of shapes and a fully animated character to create a smoother version than was previous game.

Like the first game, this one is also a side-view shooter. The version added enemies, but they did not shoot back. Falling or running into the enemy was the only way to lose. While still relying on the Kilk & Play graphics library, version 2 features more original environments. The drawing tool in Kilk & Play is very similar to MS Paint, but allowing for animations.

There are fewer mission in this game than the original, but has clearer objectives and level design.

Mission 1: Destroy the Chemical Warfare Facility
Mission 2: Steal the Helicopter (pictured below)
Mission 3: Access data from the enemy base

The same sounds and music in the original was also used in version 2. The music player at the end remained followed by non-playable previews of a Mission: Impossible game (canceled) and a Star Wars game.
