James Bond 007 (1997)

James Bond 007 was the first game I made using Kilk & Play, in general it was the first computer game with graphics that I has ever written. Since this was the first, I had hand animated the opening gun barrel sequence (pictured above) using a total of 22 frames.

The game itself was a side-view shooter as I did not know how to do any side-scrolling at this point. Most of the in-game graphics was pre-made with Kilk & Play with the exception of the player character, which if you look closely has a perfectly square head.

The missions were loosely based on Goldeneye 007 for Nintendo 64. Objectives included steal the Goldeneye satellite plans (pictured below) and infiltrate a French frigate and steal the helicopter.

The game has decent sounds effects and much of the music was midi adaptations of the music in Goldeneye 007. After completing the game, the player is given access to a music player to midi versions of music from Goldeneye 007, Banjo-Kazooie, and StarFox 64. A bonus level features Bond infiltrating the CIA mainframe terminal similar to the Nintendo 64 game Mission: Impossible. This was intended as a demo for a future Mission: Impossible game that was never completed.
