In a world where disaffected teenagers dream of being men with delusions of rockstardom and parents only allow them to play their instruments when they're not home to hear the racket, three boys dare defy an iron-fisted empire of mainstream debauchery. Their name is "THE SLEEP OF REASON."
The Sleep Of Reason was a musical project of enormous / mediocre success nurtured by three golden children of Chicago's ill-tempered Western Suburbs in the early years of our new century. Standing defiantly in the malnourished shadows of generic popular local acts, The Sleep Of Reason pushed the boundaries of modern rock music in directions few could ever comprehend, mixing (a few) screamy vocals, thunderous guitars, ambient sounds, and an unmatched passion fueled by the insatiable desire to drive a wedge into the scene. Barely completing four or five songs and with no shows under their belt to claim as their own, The Sleep Of Reason's short lived reign of dissonance will forever echo in independant rock history as a legacy of supressed emotions and violent behavior. Members of this group went on to form the beloved metal and grindcore groups "ENTHURA" and "BIG TEN FOOTBALL," Chris Plumb and Nick Wakim respectively. Someday, they will reunite, and together, they will conquer the galaxy, one set of parents' eardrums at a time.
