Fields of Interest:
My current research is centered on the integration of the ethnic minorities into their host societies and also on the relationship between immigration and international security. I am focusing on the modes of integration of the persons uprooted by communal ethnic conflict or mandatory repatriation and of the refuges of coercive government politics or war into their receiving countries.
I am also interested in the differences in the immigration policies between different regime types (authoritarian regimes, developed and transitional democracies) and in the challenges the movement of persons across borders (in the form of legal, illegal and forced migration) can bring for the international security.
