Text Box: Urban Waste Soil Piles

Park Refuse Pile

Urban and suburban parklands are another place where invasive species occur.  Much of the parkland acreage is maintained by regular mowing, but refuse piles like these often harbor many invasive species.  Bull Thistle, Burdock, Garlic Mustard, White Sweet Clover, Common Reed (Phragmites), and Buckthorn were found in this park in suburban Maywood.
