Flood

In the spring of 2004, it rained for about a week straight. The Des Plaines river, which is about a quarter of a mile away from my parents' house, flooded and much of the surrounding area got inundated with water.

Africa

My grandparents decided to take a trip to Africa during the summer of 2001, and they decided to bring three of their grandkids along; me and two of my cousins. We went to Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa over a course of four weeks. We went on safaris, lots of international flights, lawn bowled, dined on exotic foods, and stayed in four-star hotels.
